Severance of Tenancy

I bet when you hear a phrase like this you are thinking something awful is going to happen.  Turns our for most people it is really good news.  Loads and loads of people buy their houses jointly either with their spouse or civil partner or a very least with somebody they are expecting a long-term relationship with.  Now that is fine while you are both alive but not such good news when one of you passes.  The reason for this is that the remaining person becomes the sole owner of the property.  I know that’s what you wanted isn’t it.  Well that may well be the case but that person is now much more vulnerable than they were when you were alive and if you had expected that they would pass the home to your children the risks are a whole lot higher.  If you want to know what can be done then give me a call.
