As Executor do I sort out the finances?

If you have not already discussed this with the deceased, you will need to locate all the financial documentation you can. This is one of many key roles of the Executor. A sensible place to start is with their bank statements (there may be more than one). It may be worth getting the statements for the last year from all accounts and credit cards as this will allow you to spot the regular payments that are made, be they annually, quarterly , monthly or weekly thus creating your list of people who you are going to need to contact to make then aware of the passing.
