Can I revoke an LPA?

Can I revoke, change, cancel and LPA?

Simple answer to the questions is Yes, so long as you still have full mental capacity.  First important thing to note is if you put it in place then you can revoke change or cancel it.   If you didn’t put it in place then you cannot revoke, change or cancel it for somebody else.  To change an LPA you are going to have to revoke it, for which there may be a charge if you involve a professional to guide you.   New LPA’s are taking up to 20 weeks currently so you would be very wise to start the process of putting a new one in place before you start the revoke to old one. Simple logic here is you don’t really want to end up with no Lasting Power of Attorney.  So, talk to us to get the right one put in place first time.
