As Executor why am I going to do Probate? If you are an Executor then…
Charity
How do you leave money to charity? Leaving money to charity when you pass is easily managed within your Will. What you may not know is that if you leave more than 10% of your net estate to charity, then should any inheritance tax be due it is paid on the lower rate of 36% rather than the normal rate of 40%. Calculating the net value of your estate is the value after all debts have been paid including funeral expenses but not any inheritance tax exemptions. If you are considering leaving some of your estate to charity, then consider local and smaller charities before you consider large household names. They both need money but the difference you could make locally may be greater. If you would like to know how to do this then do give me a call.
