Trust Registration

In September 2023 there was a significant change to the way trusts were regulated.  It brought back the need for them to be registered so that the government can track the amount of funds in Trust.  Now the industry had a bit of a rush to get all this done last year for trusts that were already running and had funds in them.  That now being complete the next area to concentrate on is making sure that people who have trusts inside their Wills know that upon somebody passing the trust needs to be registered.  Anyone using a professional trustee will have little to concern them because it will be handled for them.  The more vulnerable people are the ones that felt they could manage all this themselves and are unaware of the change.  If you have a Will that uses a trusts and are unaware of what to do come the time, then please give me a call.
