Will Updates
Has something changed in your life that affects your Will? Updating your Will?
Changes of circumstances are the things that could trigger the need to change your Will. But not every change of circumstance needs to force a rewrite of your Will. It is a given that during your life you will buy and sell and throw away things that cost lots of money, they are all assets of your estate. A well written Will allows for all of this to take place without affecting its validity to do what you want it to do. So mostly if you get a well written Will the need to constantly update and change things is less likely. When the need arises through, marriage, divorce, new children and death you have a choice you can either get a codicil to just change the section that is affected or you can get a new Will. The codicil will most likely be less expensive but it does carry the risk of multiple documents needing to be protected whereas a new Will keeps everything bound together and removes doubt about missing documents. If you think a change in your life could affect your Will get in touch so we can let you know.
