Who knew that witnesses would feature so highly in our lives for all sorts of important events from marriage to the highest sporting achievements without a witness to prove you did it just doesn’t count. Which is why a witness, in fact two witnesses, are required for your Will and Lasting Power of Attorneys. Simple rules are they must be over 18 have full mental capacity and not related to you (the person doing the document) at all.
