While we all wonder and laugh at some of the great ideas people come up with in their Wills. William Shakespeare left his wife his “Second Best Bed”. A billionaire hotelier left a fortune to her dog rather than her grandchildren and a German poet who left his estate to his wife on condition she remarry within 6 months of his passing. The reason he stated was that he wanted at least one man to regret his passing. Unfortunately many of these more imaginative ideas can be challenged and are often overturned resulting in much of the estate being spent on sorting it out. So if your imagination is good and you want a special request why not put it in the Memorandum of Wishes where everyone will try there best to achieve your wish but won’t waste the estate in the attempt.
