Can I avoid Probate?

Yes, you can.

There are loads of ways of avoiding probate and almost all of them involve you making sure that when you die you own as little as possible in your own name. How do you do that?  You can do it by:

Jointly owning everything you have, which means when you die the other joint owners automatically get whatever it was. Putting all your assets into Trust during your lifetime, if you have nothing then no need for probate.   You can give all your assets and money away leaving yourself less than £5,000 in total. Now it has to be said if you have put everything into Trust given everything away being able to live is going to get difficult.
