As Executor why am I going to do Probate? If you are an Executor then…
Valid Will
When does my Will become legal?
Your Will becomes a legal document at the point where you sign it in front of two adult witnesses, and they then sign to confirm they have witnessed your act of signing. All three of you need to be adults and of sound mind to perform any one of these roles. Although fully legal it really doesn’t do very much until the time that you pass when it is used by your executors to gain a grant of probate on your estate. It then has one further use which is to allow your Executors to distribute your estate in accordance with your wishes. If you don’t have one, and would like to talk about how you get one, then do give me a call.
