Thinking of getting married?
It’s perhaps not common knowledge that it is possible to write your Will in contemplation of marriage. This normally happens in the run up to marriage, usually within the next 12 months of the date, and ensures that upon marriage it is not revoked as would normally happen to a standard Will. Why would you do this? Many second marriages see people with significant estates and as the act of marriage will invalidate the existing Will the only way to get continuous protection is to create a Will in contemplation of marriage.
